Refund Policy

All sales of credits and digital content are final. No refunds will be provided.

1. No Refunds for Digital Goods

HookLab provides digital goods and services (AI-generated content, credits, and subscriptions) that are delivered instantly upon purchase. Under the laws of most jurisdictions and the policies of payment processors like Stripe, digital goods are non-refundable once delivered.

By making a purchase, you acknowledge and agree that:

  • Credits are delivered to your account immediately upon payment confirmation
  • Generated content (briefs, scripts, thumbnails, etc.) is created instantly and cannot be "returned"
  • All sales are final and non-refundable

2. Subscription Cancellations

Monthly Subscriptions: You may cancel your subscription at any time through:

When you cancel:

  • Your cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period
  • You retain access to your subscription benefits until the end of the paid period
  • No pro-rata refunds are provided for partial months
  • Unused monthly credits will expire and will not be refunded

Example:

If you subscribe on January 1st and cancel on January 15th, you will still have access to your subscription and credits until January 31st. No refund will be issued for the second half of January.

3. One-Time Refill Purchases

Credit Refills (one-time credit purchases) are 100% non-refundable:

  • Refill credits are delivered instantly to your account
  • Refill credits never expire (you keep them forever)
  • Once delivered, refills cannot be refunded or reversed

4. Failed Generations or Service Issues

If the Service fails to generate content due to a technical error on our end, we will:

  • Re-grant the consumed credits to your account
  • Investigate and resolve the technical issue
  • Provide support to help you successfully generate content

To request credit restoration:

  • Contact us at [email protected] within 48 hours of the issue
  • Provide details about the failed generation (timestamp, error message, etc.)
  • We will review your request and restore credits if the failure was caused by our Service

Note: Credits will not be restored for:

  • Dissatisfaction with the quality or content of AI-generated results
  • User error (e.g., entering incorrect information)
  • Content that violates our Acceptable Use Policy and is blocked
  • Third-party service limitations (OpenAI content filters, API rate limits, etc.)

5. Quality and Satisfaction

AI-generated content is provided "as-is." We do not guarantee:

  • That AI-generated content will meet your specific expectations or requirements
  • That content will be error-free, accurate, or suitable for your purposes
  • That content will perform well on social media platforms or generate specific results

We do not issue refunds based on:

  • Subjective quality assessments ("I didn't like the output")
  • Performance outcomes ("My video didn't go viral")
  • Changes in your business needs or strategy

6. Chargebacks and Payment Disputes

Please contact us before initiating a chargeback. Chargebacks are costly to process and may result in:

  • Immediate account suspension
  • Loss of access to the Service and all remaining credits
  • Potential legal action to recover damages

7. EU Consumer Rights (14-Day Withdrawal)

Under EU law, consumers typically have a 14-day right to withdraw from distance sales. However, this right does not apply to digital content delivered immediately upon purchase.

By purchasing from HookLab, you explicitly agree to:

  • Immediate delivery of digital content (credits and generated content)
  • Waive your 14-day withdrawal right as permitted under EU law

This acknowledgment is presented to you at checkout before completing your purchase.

8. Exceptional Circumstances

In rare cases, we may issue refunds or credits at our sole discretion:

  • Extended service outages or downtime
  • Accidental duplicate charges (we'll refund the duplicate)
  • Billing errors caused by our payment system
  • Other exceptional circumstances evaluated on a case-by-case basis

These refunds are issued at our discretion and do not create any obligation for future refunds.

9. Plan Changes and Upgrades

Upgrades: When you upgrade to a higher-tier plan:

  • You receive immediate access to the new plan's features and credits
  • Any remaining credits from your old plan are converted to non-expiring bonus credits
  • No refunds are issued for the unused portion of your old plan

Downgrades: When you downgrade to a lower-tier plan:

  • The downgrade takes effect at the start of your next billing cycle
  • No refunds or credits are issued for the difference in price
